Day 1: Moshi to Tarangire National Park – Land of Giants & Ancient Trees
Your family adventure begins! At 8:30 AM, you’ll be warmly greeted and picked up from your hotel in Moshi by your expert safari guide. Settle into your comfortable, private 4×4 vehicle – equipped with a pop-up roof for unparalleled game viewing – and begin the scenic drive to Tarangire National Park. Enjoy a picnic lunch amidst the stunning savannah landscape before embarking on an afternoon full-day game drive. After an exhilarating day, journey to your nearby family-friendly lodge or camp where a delicious, hearty dinner awaits. Relax, share stories of the day’s sightings, and prepare for more adventures tomorrow.
Day 2: Into the Endless Plains of the Serengeti
After a satisfying breakfast at your lodge, we begin our journey toward the world-renowned Serengeti National Park. The drive itself is spectacular, as you watch the landscapes transform into the iconic, never-ending plains that make this region famous.The Serengeti is arguably the most impressive wildlife sanctuary on Earth. Upon entering the park, your afternoon game drive begins immediately, offering a chance to witness the awe-inspiring sight of great herds of wildebeest, zebra, and gazelle stretching to the horizon. Keep your eyes peeled for predators—perhaps a pride of lions lounging in the shade or a cheetah surveying the grasslands for its next meal.A picnic lunch will be served at a scenic spot right in the heart of the savannah, allowing you to dine surrounded by the sights and sounds of the wild.
As the sun begins to set, we’ll make our way to your carefully selected family-friendly accommodation. Here, a hearty dinner awaits, giving you the chance to relax and share stories of the day’s adventures under a canopy of stars.
Day 3: Heart of the Serengeti – Predators & the River of Life
Kickstart your day with a filling breakfast at your lodge before embarking on a full-day game drive at 8:00 AM into the central Serengeti (Seronera region). This area is the vibrant, wildlife-rich heart of the park, offering some of the most consistent game viewing in Africa. The Seronera River snakes through this region, providing a crucial year-round water source that attracts a spectacular concentration of wildlife. This makes it the perfect place to witness the drama of the wild unfold. A delicious picnic lunch will be served at a designated scenic spot, allowing you to refuel while immersed in the untouched beauty of the savannah.
As the afternoon light softens, we’ll begin our return to the lodge by 5:00 PM. The day concludes with a satisfying dinner and a well-earned rest, with the sounds of the African night serenading you to sleep.
Day 4: Serengeti to Ngorongoro – Into the World’s Largest Volcanic Caldera
Savor your final breakfast in the Serengeti before setting out on a rewarding morning game drive. This is your last chance to soak in the vastness of the plains and spot any wildlife you may have missed.
Later, we begin our journey towards the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. The drive is scenic, offering a gradual climb into the highlands. We will stop for a picnic lunch with stunning views before arriving at the Ngorongoro Crater rim.The day concludes as you check into your lodge perched on the crater’s edge. Enjoy a hearty dinner while reflecting on the journey from the endless plains to this breathtaking highland paradise.
Day 5: Ngorongoro Crater to Lake Manyara – From the Caldera to the Canopy
Embrace an early start with breakfast at your lodge, followed by a breathtaking descent into the Ngorongoro Crater for an unforgettable 5-hour game drive on its floor. This UNESCO World Heritage Site, the world’s largest intact volcanic caldera, functions as a natural sanctuary for an astonishing density of wildlife.
Keep your cameras ready as you explore this compact Eden, where the Big Five roam alongside zebra, wildebeest, and hippos. The crater’s soda lake often shimmers with thousands of flamingos, while the rare black rhinoceros can sometimes be spotted in the distance.
After a thrilling morning and a picnic lunch at the scenic Hippo Pool, begin your ascent from the crater and journey towards Lake Manyara National Park.
Day 6: Lake Manyara National Park to Arusha/Moshi – A Canopy of Wildlife & Farewell
Enjoy a final luscious breakfast at your lodge, savoring the last moments of your safari adventure. By 8:00 AM, depart for Lake Manyara National Park—a gem known for its lush groundwater forest, diverse birdlife, and famed tree-climbing lions.
Enter the park by 9:00 AM, where the atmosphere instantly transforms. The air grows cooler under the canopy of ancient mahogany and towering acacia trees, setting the stage for a unique game drive experience.By mid-afternoon, begin your journey back to Arusha or Moshi. Reflect on the incredible memories made over the past week as you travel through the beautiful Tanzanian countryside. You will be dropped off at your preferred location in Arusha or Moshi by approximately 6:00 PM, marking the end of your unforgettable safari journey.
